Louise took the women's Hampshire Cross Country title with a superb run at a frozen Dibden Purlieu becoming the first Guermsey women to win a Hampshire Cross Country title.

About Louise

Louise was enticed into running through being bribed with chocolate by her Cambridge University chums. Shortly after she discovered a competitive instinct and set her sights on wanting to win. She began competing for GIAAC in the final year of her studies.

After only two years of structured training she has became the Island's leading female distance runner setting Island Records on the track at 3km (10min16.0sec) and 5km (17min50.2) and winning medals at the Shetland 2005 Island Games at 1500mtrs (bronze) and 5000mtrs (silver). Winter 2005/2006 has seen continued improvement with personal bests at 10km road and third place at the Hampshire Cross Country Championships.
